I started the morning in Bismarck, ND and just needed to go a little west of Minneapolis. It was actually a short day, only 6 hours or so of driving. Unfortunately, I also looked at the drive from Minneapolis -> Home and realized it’s ~22 hours instead of the 16 that I thought it was. So that wasn’t fun to think about…
I arrived at my cousin Brandon’s house around 4 in the afternoon. The drive just dragged on (thanks North Dakota!) and I was glad I didn’t have a big drive that day. Brandon and I hung out for a bit then we left to meet some family for dinner.
We ate at Big Boar BBQ which was delicious. We met up with my aunt Kristin, her husband Nic and my Aunt Lynn. Kristin ordered the largest prime rib I’ve ever seen! The rest of us got some brisket and pulled pork to share and like the kids that we are Brandon and I ordered some Mac & Cheese, which was great.
We stayed until they kicked us out and then Brandon and I went back to his house. At this point, Brandon’s wife Erin, had picked up his twin 4 year old boys (who were up north for the week) so I got to see all of them. And I was definitely jealous of the kids bomb pops they were eating when I walked in. Fun fact, the twins share a birthday with Beckett and are exactly 1 year older.
We hung out for a bit and then I crashed for the day. No photos…again…thanks a lot North Dakota!
