Londonderry, NH -> Cleveland, OH (~670 miles)
Today is the day! We packed up the last few things and I said goodbye to the family.
I drove down to Nashua to pick up my dad and we were on the road around 7:45. We started heading west out the mass pike towards Albany. After passing Albany we were routed off I-90 for a bit as it was closed for construction and we went through Oneida, NY. We kept seeing massive trees down and on power lines. It turns out massive thunderstorms rolled through that area the night before triggering hurricane warnings and killing 3 people. Glad we didn’t head out earlier!
The rest of the drive was pretty smooth (except for when I poured gas all over my shoes and Jaclyn’s car 😬). After that, we had a few more hours and arrived at the same hotel (Tudor Arms) as we did for our road trip two years ago.
We checked into our penthouse 11th floor suite and then got some dinner at Southern Tier brewery in downtown brewery. After dinner we relaxed at the hotel and watched game 7 of the NBA finals.
